I have now brought together Kung Fu, Tai Chi and my O.P.T group training sessions so that your monthly or quarterly payments can now be used to attend any of the classes available!

Kids Now Welcome to Kung Fu

4 Years and above are now welcome to Kung Fu classes!

Tai Chi at Birchwood Primary School

After being contacted by Mrs Sarah Nelson back in May I visited Birchwood Primary School in Martlesham Heath, Suffolk on 22nd June. I was asked to do a short talk on tai chi and teach some movement to the children during their morning assembly.

I was quite daunted to find some 200 children filing in to the assembly hall. But as I talked they seemed quite fascinated as I explained the magic of tai chi, I then led them out into the playground where I had them all participating in Shui Tao's 5 Directions and 4 Posture set, even the teachers gave it a try and at the end there were some very positive comments.

I bet the rest of the day's classes were an inspiration as the kids and teachers felt relaxed and focused!

Tessa's Abseil Challenge 

On 12th July Tessa Aston took part in an abseiling challenge to raise money for a group of people with learning difficulties who are under her care, The money was then to be used to pay for a trip to Yarmouth Leisure Park.

Tessa is no fan of heights so did remarkably well just getting into this position!

Kung Fu Talk & Demonstration at the Millennium

Finally we managed to arrange and conduct our second demonstration at the Millennium Martial Arts Centre after three previous attempts. Sorry to have messed everyone around with the previous cancellations but in the end it went quite well although the nerves tend to get in the way of what I have in mind again I received some good comments.

Thank you to Ben for a respectable 2nd Form and letting me through him about again and thank you to Carly for the photography. Shame that we haven't quite had the turn out we've been hoping for!

Ipswich Town Display
