When a client first comes to me I will offer them the option of a correctional fitness program, this will help to improve posture, alignment, body balance, movement, technique and overall structural integrity and performance.

The same system of training can be used to help rehabilitate after injury or medical related degradation.

In this way we will be able to build slowly on the bodies capabilities to perform more complex exercises and hold more load whilst lessening the prospect of injury.

I would always advise this type of training for at least part of a fitness program.

The system I use for this process is mostly based on the O.P.T or Optimum Performance Training system, developed by N.A.S.M or the National Academy of Sports Medicine. You can read more about the O.P.T system by following the Training & Costs link.
